At Chill House, we take pride in using only the finest pine, sourced from sustainable sawmills across Europe. Every piece of wood is FSC-certified and carefully selected to retain its natural charm, including rustic marks such as knots, cracks, splits, and unique grain patterns. These characteristics make each shelf one of a kind, bringing authentic rustic appeal to your decor.

To enhance the beauty of the wood and protect it from wear, we use a premium wax finish. This not only intensifies the natural grain but also adds depth and warmth to the wood. Our available colour finishes include:

- Unwaxed (raw wood option)
If you have a specific colour in mind, we can also provide staining or varnishing upon request. Please note that colours may vary slightly due to natural wood variations and screen settings. If unsure, we recommend ordering samples first.
Our store features a range of sizes, but if you need a bespoke fit, we are happy to accommodate custom orders. Simply send us your required dimensions, and we’ll provide a quick quote. Please note that slight size variations may occur due to the natural properties of timber.

Once your piece arrives we advise that you remove all the packaging and allow your new Chill House furniture to breathe. The timber needs time to adapt to its new environment. Please check your new items thoroughly and contact us should there be any issues.
Our shelves take around 2-5 days to make, to ensure they are perfectly ready to use.

International deliveries are accepted to some EU countries (please check with us if your country isn’t listed).
To keep your wood looking its best we have Wax Maintenance Packs available.
Our Packs are ideal to fix small damage to shelves or furniture. Wood wax is very easy to repair compare to other wood finishes. In our pack you will find everything you need to repair your wooden furniture from bumps, scratches and knocks that can happen in every home.
To apply a new coat of wax wipe over the item, ensuring that it is free from dust, then use the cloth to apply a small amount of wax whilst rubbing in the same direction as the grain of the wood. Leave the repaired area to dry for about 15mins. Your shelf now has a new shiny finish.
* It’s easy to care for your wooden furniture. For any spills or stains use a clean slightly damp cloth to wipe it off. You don’t want the water to sit on the wood so wipe it again with a dry cloth if you have to. Do not use any furniture sprays, kitchen or baby wipes or this can damage your wax finish.
* Natural wood can be affected by certain environmental changes. Don't worry about any bending or cracks caused by the change of temperature or humidity as this is the natural process that wood could encounter.
* To keep the wax finish looking brand new for years to come, we recommend applying a clear or colour wax or to the shelves once a year.
You’ll receive all fixings in your packaging. All fixings are especially chosen and designed to fit your furniture. For shelves we recommend fixing them to solid wall types only. We cannot guarantee that the shelves will stay up if you use different fixings to those we provided and if you try to fix them to different wall types.
We attach assembly instructions with every parcel.
Decide where to position your shelf. It is important to make sure if the wall is solid or plasterboard. For plasterboard walls try to use timber studs if possible. Locate the drill hole centres by using a tape measure and a spirit level. All our shelves have pre-drilled holes, and the number of holes depends on the shelf's dimensions.
Position the shelf on the wall and use a pencil to draw a level line on the wall. Once you know where your fixing points should be on the wall, drill ø 10mm holes. Insert the wall plug into the wall, slip washer onto the screw thread and screw shelf support into the wall plug.
Install shelf on support. The holes on the shelves are bigger than brackets to allow for adjustment. Using the SW10 Spanner you can adjust the height of the shelf, level the shelf and tighten the fitting. Push the shelf all the way up to the wall.
